Ysrafel

Ryan Buckner, better known as Ysrafel, is a Recording Artist, Guitarist/Musician, and Composer born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Seeking expansion of the guitar shred genre, his current works take on an ecclectic style of shred guitar fused with progressive metal elements as well as electronic/ techno grooves and latin stylings. He began his enthusiasm with music at the age of 15 when he received his first electric guitar as a gift. At first only playing along to his favorite bands and guitarists, as time went on he began to get more and more serious about music. One year later during highschool, he began writing his first music compostions, studying music theory and music composition, and studying classical guitar. Throughout highschool he would go on to be awarded top scores at classical guitar competitions, and then be awarded a Musical Performance Scholarship to Oklahoma City University. Although he had achieved all of these things with classical guitar, his true passion remained in electric guitar as well as exploring different kinds of music.

Ysrafel is currently working on his upcoming concept release to be titled ''La Primavera.'' This album promises to be one of the most innovative shred guitar releases of 2010...combining into one musical experience: Incredible guitar technique and melody, complex progressive elements and structures, mesmorizing electronic/techno beats, and thick atmospheres. He is also in the process of preparing informative dvd's and e-books on various musical topics such as music theory, guitar technique, and music composition.

Having a wide variety of musical tastes, Ysrafel has been captivated by many different kinds of music from around the world. Being a music enthusiast, he has spent countless hours researching different kinds of music , musical artists, and their effects on cultures and societies of different countries. He seeks to provide music to all different kinds of listeners, and to convey his thoughts and ideas through his own style of music.

With a diverse background of music knowledge, spectacular musicianship, and a burning desire to propel his music and ideas forward; Ysrafel is one of the strongest rising forces in music today.
